Bert Pasquale specializes in artistic “storytelling” photography, often combining the nude human form with stunning landscapes, creating riveting visual photographs that convey ideas and tell stories. Bert has done over 100 shoots, many on-location in 21 states and the Virgin Islands, including the High Sierras (up to 11,000 ft), the Arizona wilderness, East & West coasts and across the Northwest. In 2015 he photographed on location throughout The Netherlands.
Bert is a Kodak Gallery Award recipient, he was awarded ‘Photographer of the Year’ by the Maryland Professional Photographers Association (Dual awards: Portraiture & Electronic Imaging), he has received numerous MDPPA Best-In-Show prints, PPA loan collection prints, and has instructed for the PPA on topics such as "Ultra-High Resolution Environmental Portraiture".
In 2011, Bert documented the final rollout, launch and landing of the Space Shuttle: STS-135 Atlantis. The resulting images are a document the powerful connection of NASA's mission with manned space flight. One image, "Final Flight" received a Grand Imaging Award (Illustrative) at the PPA International Print Competition (With almost 6,000 entries.)
